FISCHER, Joseph Born 1746 Füssen died 1834 Regensburg Germany. Pupil of Gedler in Füssen. Worked briefly in Vienna and settled in Regensburg. Large Stainer model, well finished and accurate work. Also fine Stradivari imitations with well-cut soundholes. Various varnishes of glossy yellow-brown or red- brown.
