GUTH, August Born 1840 Pilsnitz Poland, died 1912 Antwerp Belgium. Pupil of Bausch in Leipzig and Grimm in Berlin. Worked briefly in Breslau and established in Antwerp from 1888. Stradivari, Maggini, and other models with spirit varnish. Branded: ‘A. G.’. Printed label: August Guth me fecit / Antverpiae anno 1908
