MORLOT, Nicolas Born 1790, died 1856 Mirecourt France. Pupil of Nicolas Morlot ainé. Large Stradivari model. Flat-arched with pale brown or yellow varnish. Not sophisticated work. Name continued in use in Mirecourt up to c.1900. Branded internally: ‘A la ville de Cremonae Nicolas Morlot’
