Andrew Bellis

Andrew Bellis is a British bow maker and violist based in Bournemouth, Dorset. He began crafting his own bows in 1978, working under the guidance of Arthur Bultitude and John Clutterbuck, and established his professional workshop in 1980 after studying viola at the Birmingham School of Music. He taught bow-making and maintenance at Oxford from 1990 and has made over 170 bows and several instruments including a double bass and harpsichord.
