FERENCZY, Sandor (Alexander) Born 1859 Budapest Hungary, Worked from c.1900 Vienna Austria. Apprenticed to Mönnig and then worked for Zach and Lembock at Vienna. Established in Debreczén from 1879, moved to Budapest 1885, and after the turn of the century went to Vienna. Medals at various Exhibitions. Classical models of great expertise. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Schüler von Adolf Monnig. Als Gehilfe kam er zu Thomas Zach in Wien,
bei dem er fünf Jahre lang blieb. Hier schloss er erst seine eigentliche künstlerische
Ausbildung ab, so dass er sich mit Recht als einen Schüler Zach’s betrachten
kann. Er liess sich hierauf in Debreczin als Meister nieder und blieb
sechs Jahre dort; 1893 ging er zunächst nach Budapest und dann nach Wien.
wo er seinen bleibenden Wohnsitz aufschlug. Er ist ein geschickter Geigenmacher
und erhielt 1898 auf der Jubiläums-Ausstellung eine Medaille.
