FÉVROT Worked circa. 1789 London UK, died 1813 Lyons France. Worked in London from 1789, possibly to avoid the effects of the French Revolution and subsequent military conscription, returning to Lyons in 1798. Not prolific. Stradivari model with rather broad purfling and plain yellow varnish. Scroll outlined in black in the manner of Stradivari. Branded within: ‘Févrot’ Fait par Févrot / à Lyon 18.. M.
