1887 and with Ignaz Lutz and Haudek from c.1896. Established independently 1902. Continued to work in the style of Zach to a very high standard of finish. From 1924 concentrated on guitar making, producing guitars with arched plates. Also made lutes and other plucked instruments. — John Dilworth

JIROWSKY, Anton Born 1877, Worked from 1887 Vienna Austria (ten years old?) Worked for Thomas Zach from c.1887 and with Ignaz Lutz and Haudek from c.1896. Established independently 1902. Continued to work in the style of Zach to a very high standard of finish. From 1924 concentrated on guitar making, producing guitars with arched plates. Also made lutes and other plucked instruments.
