Geigen von ihm kommen selten vor. Sie gehen auf italienische Vorbilder zurück und haben gelben Lack. Er wohnte Passage du Saumon und hatte das Schild: »Au cytre allemand«. Theorben aus den Jahren 1774 und 1775 sind im Museum des Conservatoriums in Brüssel und aus der Sammlung Snoeck in Berlin. Ein C. Laurent, vielleicht sein Sohn, kommt 1806—1819 als Erfinder der Crystallflöten vor.
