Antonio Lechi

Antonio Lechi was an Italian violin maker active in Cremona during the early decades of the 20th century. Working between approximately 1900 and 1930, he produced violins based on his own personal model, characterised by broad outlines and relatively flat arching. His workmanship was consistently sound, and his instruments were finished with varnish ranging from golden-brown to rich reddish-brown tones. Labels are typically inscribed “Antonio Lechi fece Cremona” followed by the year of manufacture.
