Worked for Blanchard in Lyons, Gautié in Toulouse, and Mougenot in Brussels. Established independently in Lyons from 1899. Stradivari, Guarneri and, in particular, fine Amati models. Very fine materials and various shades of red oil varnish of good consistency, sometimes shaded in imitation of age. — John Dilworth
