PUPUNAT, Franziskus Marie Born 1805 Ecuvillon France, died 1868 Lausanne Switzerland. Cabinet maker and self-taught violin and bow maker, active in Lausanne from 1836. Good competent work. Completed 300 violins, 25 cellos, and 20 small violas. Bows branded: PUPUNAT Franziskus Maria Pupunat / Fecit Lausanne 1857 / F.M.P. [Boltshauser]
