William Salchow
New York
William Salchow (1926–2014) was a pioneering American bow maker who trained in Mirecourt, France, and later founded Salchow & Sons in New York. He mentored many leading U.S. bow makers, crafted bows prized by top musicians, and introduced his own rosin formula, leaving a lasting influence on modern bow making.
