Yellow to orange varnish, often with good one-piece backs. Also made vielles and plucked instruments. Branded: ‘Thouvenel Henry / à Mirecourt’ or ‘Touvenel Henry (TH)’

Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+

Schüler von Colson. Seine Violinen sind im Mirecourter Stil nach dem Stradivari-Modell gemacht und meist hell lackirt. Er verlegte sich übrigens mehr auf die Herstellung von Guitarren und Radleiern. Eine solche besitzt die königl. Sammlung alter Musikinstrumente in Berlin (No. 1003); auch in der Sammlung Hammer (Stockholm) befand sich eine solche.
