Pupil of Derazey. Worked in the Colin-Mezin shop. Fine workmanship. In 1870 married Stella Vuillaume, daughter of a shoemaker and unconnected with the family of J. B. Vuillaume (although the Vuillaume name was subsequently exploited). — John Dilworth

CHIPOT-VUILLAUME Born 1847, died 1892 Mirecourt France. Pupil of Derazey. Worked in the Colin-Mezin shop. Fine workmanship. In 1870 married Stella Vuillaume, daughter of a shoemaker and unconnected with the family of J. B. Vuillaume (although the Vuillaume name was subsequently exploited). Made instruments for Collin-Mezin before establishing his own shop employing several workmen to make instruments in the white and varnished in ‘antique’ style.
