John Dilworth

DODD James (II) Born 1792, died 1865 London UK. Bow maker. Son of James Dodd (I) above. Worked in partnership with his brother Edward (III) at 8 King Street, Covent Garden from 1821-1823. Joined their father at 9 Granby’s Buildings, but left in 1830 to work from 47 Fleet Lane, Old Bailey, where they also made strings sold in the shop of their uncle, Thomas Dodd. In 1831 they worked in Vauxhall, and after the death of his brother in 1851 James was established at 21 Great Sutton Street, Finsbury.
