John Dilworth

FISCHESSER, Léon Born 1861 Saint Cloud, Paris, died 1937 Paris France. Worked in Geneva 1885, Staufen in Baden 1900, Mulhausen 1904, and Paris in the Faubourg Poissonière 1905, then Avenue de Villiers 1914. Collaborated with Lucien Greilsamer in varnish research c.1906. Made instruments for the Sevcik quartet 1907. Fine work on Stradivari model. Awarded several medals and diplomas of honour. Author of a pamphlet entitled Violin Construction.
