PANDOLFI, Antonio Worked circa. 1715-1742 Venice Italy. Vannes and Henley describe a maker who is presently unknown and not so far discovered in Venetian archives. Vannes provides a label of 1740 and suggests another instrument dated 1712: one piece backs with slanting soundholes and yellow-brown or red-brown varnish. Henley suggests an Amati model. Possibly a misread or misleading label. Antonius Pandolfi / Venetiis fecit Anno 1740 [Henley, Vannes]
